Possibly the most powerful weapon in a sci fi setting was one sought by gods and godlike beings who mistook it for a weapon similar to the Hammer of Thor. one God did finally lay his hands on it only to realize it was just an inert Stone Hammer. After some analysis.. some pondering he came to the startling and terrifying conclusion “ The Hammer of Darkness” was a living being.. not the weapon it held.. but the weapon was IT! The Being known as the Hammer of Darkness was human in overall appearance. and form.. untold eons old. soo old it no longer even remembered it’s true form or manner of creation. it was however capable of destroying reality on a multiversal lvl.Think of something soo powerful all the modern and ancient pantheons of gods wanted to destroy it for fear of it being used to wipe them out of existence.

In the “Perry Rhodan” series, there are many huge weapons. One of the biggest is the “star-pusher”. They use a whole star as a weapon. Unfortunately, the star’s explosion creates a catastrophic chain-reaction on the nearby systems which spreads and destroys many other systems. They did not use it again after that “oops” moment.
