our solar system only takes up a small amount of space. it would thank almost 100000 years to cross the milky way. astronomy is then some on that study the solar system. by the early 1600s, an astronomer Johannes Kepler determined that each planet orbits the sun. revaluation is the time it takes to orbit one object or planet. the pols are where the imaginary polls stick out. each planet completes the rotation in a long time. as the solar system was forming it was very hot. the temperatures where cold enuf for certain particles to cool helping to make planets. each inner planet is made up of different materials. All of the inner planets are made up of different things. the inner planets are smaller and can hold less. Mercury is much smaller in size compared to earth. It is the closest to the sun it only takes 88 earth days to be a year. it is 420 degrees in the day. sins it's so close to the sun it is very hard to see.
