Dear Sheil,

I hope you are doing great! I am glad to hear that you have decided to take a vacation. According to me, Manali in Himachal Pradesh is a great place for a memorable holiday.


I visited Manali in January, last year. The temperature was very low and the snowfall made it look splendid. I had pre-booked the hotel through online booking app: Oyo; because there was a hefty discount at that time on the hotels. Apart from that, it was a 5-star hotel named ‘Marriott’ with fabulous ambiance, a warm swimming pool and a top breakfast was included in the cost. The Manali nature walk tends to be near the accommodation and there are lots of public buses to move around.

There are many activities to do in Manali which could be paragliding, various snow sports, winter party, A special dance night arranged for tourists and much more things. Whilst food was available at the hotel, we preferred to eat outside on the mall road and explore various cafe’s surrounding them, the food was extraordinary and mouth watering.

Some scientists believe that genetic characteristics have more influence on the human’s personality than some experiences in life. Although genetics has some effect on our characters,In my opinion, lifetime experiences play a greater role than genes in a person’s development.

Everyone is born with certain hereditary characteristics. The genes transmit information from generation to generation and they do play a role in shaping the personality and appearance of the child. For example, a child born to blind couples will also be a blind. And also certain emotions like anger and sensitivity are inborn.

Firstly, it is true that everyone is unique, as they are born with different characteristics. However, lifetime experiences have a greater influence on the personality of an individual.
A person learns a lot from the environment and these experiences helps shape him in a beautiful way. For example, i have always been an introvert child for my entire life, once i joined hotel i got to interact with a lot of people which certainly changed my outlook towards people and i became an extrovert. Adding on to the example, if a positive person hangs out with a negative group of people for a long time, a person ought to become one. Therefore, I believe that the innate characteristics can be altered as required by the surrounding environment.

Secondly, the skills and characteristics acquired by a person during a lifetime helps in life experiences much more than the heredity obtained ones. To make it clear, a child born in a gentle and innocent family, along with that one was obedient of their parents. He followed the footsteps and the ethical teachings of their father lead one towards the bright future.


In conclusion, the inborn characteristics have some influence on an individual’s personality and development. However, in my opinion, the experiences in ones life plays a vital part in nourishing the personality and it could lead to a successful life and to cope with our circumstances in a most dignified manner.
