it really IS!! like, obviously having a stand out refined style is nice but theres also a lot of work in the art world that involves imitating what other people can do. so that your show/comic etc. isnt super inconsistent haha
plus (and i do this a lot) you can use different styles to convey different emotion dependin on the piece of art ur makin

It's art after all, you're convey messages, emotions, reality, etc through a medium that isn't a simple conversation. Taking liberties on what is considered "real" can really cut to the heart of the situation and drive a point home even harder.

God absolutely! It's just hard since art is still such a nebulous path to take. Confidence is solid but it's hard to grasp when everything feels a bit... loose, viscous, blurred, whatever adjective works best to describe very malleable substances.

a lot of professionals who do gallery work aren't conventionally "good", but they are still technically "good" and yknow! i think thats the lovely thing abt artmaking. ur doing ur thing and youll find an audience that understands u eventually
