Cricket is a bat and a ball game which is played between two teams of 11 players.Cricket is a famous Sport which is now played all over the world and it's been said that cricket is the second most famous sport all over the world.Cricket was invented in 13th century or maybe even earlier than that but it was really invented in the 1700s.The first recorded evidence of cricket being played in HongKong dates back to 1841.The first club named by Hong Kong Cricket Club was found in 1851 in Hong Kong.In 1866 Hong Kong played its first match against Shanghai.Since 2010,cricket has become a medal sport of the Asian Games.Hong Kong Cricket Sixes, an international sports and recreational event, is one of the major events promoted to tourists by Hong Kong Tourism Board.Some members of the public have complained that while cricket has gained increasing popularity,there are not adequate facilities and as it has been reported earlier in the press that cricket is particularly popular among ethnic minorities in Hong Kong,Hong Kong .However, other than those facilities are provided by private clubs, there are only 4 to 5 public cricket grounds with proper boundary lines for tournament.
