Precambrian Time:
~Scale goes from 4.5 Billion years to 544 million years ago. (largest time period)
~Fossil record is scarce

~Early Life:
!Cyanobacteria - blue green algae. Chlorophyll. ~ PHotosynthesis.
!Super important because photosynthesis takes shit and makes it energy (changes atmosphere to create energy)
Ozone formed via photosynthesis
~unusual life-forms
!worm like organisms that burrow and live underneath sediment
!most lived in the ocean (most of world was covered in water and continents covered in shallow seas.

THE PALEOZOIC ERA:
~Paleozoic Life ~shit started evolving whoopdie doo.
!Fossil records of marine animals. (fossil records of eggs with hard shells ~ aka animals could move onto land and survive)
~Life on Land
~mountain building ~ continents are shifting and coliding. Volcanic activity also.
~Paleozoic ended and 90% of water animals died and 70% of land animals died.
They couldn't adapt and the environment died off.
Atmosphere changed so much that everyone died.
ASTERIOD HIT THE EARTH AND KILLED EVERYTHING YAY
