Why not? Lovely awesome, community, never felt community,
Not a lot of experience living cooperatively
Open, questions
Reflects life after college

> Communicates from compassionate POV, aware of other people's spaces, and values respect, wants space from campus, enjoys living w/other people

Fun> Chatting, spending time w/work, catching up w/friends and fam, netflix, Inspirations> positive outlook on life, recipe> vegetable broths minestrone soup >excitement for living > brings cat

Responsibility> For staying alive, for food, caring for house and cat, chores, likes open communication and commitment, has a planner for responsibilities, cat cat cat, respecting the space, keeping it clean.

Sarah
Craving for good house community
Appreciate what little community has been present on campus
Community is about sharing space!
she said "you have to give but you also get so much" <3
2> Helped facilitate and mediate a problem, prefers direct communication, not peripheral, living on campus as step back, looking forward to house community! Tasks and responsibility will ground her more.
Fun> Walks, walking and driving, exploring new things, wants to contribute fun, inspired by work, friends who are prolific in work, writing more this term, more friends, surrounded by people who are inspired, loves to make vegan food crispy mushroom onion vegan pasta, vegetarian lasagna
Responsibility> Admissions, gym, SEPC rep, Bennington beacon, barista. Not much down time, need to carve out time.

Zo
Close proximity helps build relationships
Experience: boarding school dorms for 7 years,
Learned: When in proximity, necessary to have space, needs to be a communal, regular event,
Very mature
Townhouse nice spatially to live in, wanting a place to feel like "home"
Communication example> family conflicts, lend to boundaries, kitchen conversations, happy to move away from American college lifestyle, mature,
Zo likes to knit, movie taste, inspired by friends, how hard working they are, inspired by Kat academically and thesis writing, his mom has a great recipe, green papaya curry, brings his spirit to townhouse, good food and night times,
Responsibility:
Dorm duties, personal responsibilities, caring for friends and parents, constant negotiation but staying in contact through texting etc. set boundaries, understands responsibilities of community, but most important is to self.

Ulyana
A lot of reasons:
1) studying how to create community through art and food; plan, want to have a space for practice for that, ; unfortunate that Townhouse is such a “special” thing and wishes that community could be normal and everywhere; culture of creating community in Belarus;
Family; constant negotiation, understanding needs of other person and acknowledging one needs, now knows words for it but then didn’t
UWC different levels of community
Feels separation from friends groups here
Has a lot of knowledge excited to share, wants to bring that circle process, idea of common values, listening, giving space, recognizing that I need you as much as you need me, recognizing common values non judgmental looking
Curious how to bring knowledge on food and art into real life, how to talk to each other openly

Will always communicate first, tasks are not hard when you communicate with each other,
Contribute> Acknowledges that spring will be different > bring new energy, good music, plants, need light for plants, single space.

Fun> I live for fun, reading watching movies, projects, movie nights, ow can we share art? Have a space where people feel comfortable sharing their work (not just in classroom), fun usually=party, but they think how can we hold in different way? Not just talking, making people feel comfortable... inspired by the people of Belarus, have a voice, get together as community, not cook by recipe, go to fridge, see what's there

Responsible> Pretty responsible person, they are human, hard to meet deadline, take community responsibility in "different direction" be in space where community takes responsibility to be together. House is big responsibility> how can it be recharging, and not consuming?
Community is more important because others depend on you,
Worries about food security and desire to have access to essential ingredients

Celena
Especially right now having an intentional community is really valuable and would love to take part in it, a space where everyone is invested in well being of others, no isolated bubble. Would make college more affordable right now=great... Selena is responsible for paying tuition and living expenses... not having to pay for room and board = nice (?)
Moved around A LOT in different living situations with family sharing rooms, spaces, homes, roommates, a lot on their life, and recently stopped living with parents, since June, 2 different housing situations, east LA and Berkeley, apartment complex, lived with Gwen and Vera, few other people,
Experience adhering to responsibilities and making sure things get done
Likes keeping spaces clean beaus whelps their own brain function, keeping things organized and nice

2> Talk and try to reach out to person, if not available, try to reach, keep being productive, instead of accusing, find way of contributing, if persists, reach out to teacher. Contribute> love to do grocery runs, enjoys being part of community, be in living situation where share space with people, at this point having this space to share is a privilege. Important to make each other feel happy and supported .
Fun> reading, writing, open mic at Townhouse. Sociology, interested in music+identity, ties people together. Looking for collaboration with people especially through composing and VA. Cooking curry!

Get in touch with Portuguese roots

Responsibility> SEPC rep, Bennington Beacon, familiar with cooking cleaning and responsibility process, cleans common spaces daily in morning before she does her own work, works best in clean organized space to get that out of thier way first.

Every
Living in Sawtel> No foundation in a community, to responsibility
Fond of Townhouse environment that they have encountered before, very social, helping and being helped by people
Experiences: coop with Sarah Karlyn, Adi, everything was cooperative, Blackriver, practiced communication skills, ask for what you need when you need it, acknowledges moments of friction, fun fun fun
Cooking favorites part!
Shares example of creatively finding a way through challenge, collectively> Karlyn with tea
Responsibilities to each other holding you together.
2> likes music and cooking, sorting out problem, tends to think of problem as levels, complex take. Communication training in sorting out problems. Familiar with this house and how it works.

Fun> Likes to play role playing games, read for fun, play video games, music is most important, people who inspire her a lot, learned a lot about patience and resilience and beauty, music music music... hand made noodles and fried tofu.

Responsibility> Sharing apartment with brothers, loves doing dishes, often away at night, going to start a 40 hour a week call center job, talked about ADHD and strategy with time management, healthcare as example of responsibility in crises, a challenge. Triage, if responsibility involves someone else's safety... SU core. Care structures
Excited by senior work > collaborative.

Gwen and Vera
Love living in a house with more community,> Dewey has no accountability> mess, no one works to fix> paying attention to each other's needs > excited by the rooming conversation
FWT lived in shared house in LA, 4 people sharing kitchen and bathrooms,
Chores help us structure the rest of our lives

Will try to get a hold of other person, speak to them message them, continue doing work, love cooking, Vera loves making music, create ambience in open space!

Fun> Love games, board games, card games, making Zines and collage art, making music, inspired by nature, art practice was inspiring, art and landscape. cooking> curry and stir fry, cake with lots of vegetables.
Responsibilities> Vera> schedules days w/o classes so that those days can be days to keep up and make work. On campus, hard to do time management because trapped in other schedules... Gwen> important to be respectful of space. Share domestic chores.
