The issue being discussed here is the Pope and other Archbishops agreeing to the union of two homosexual beings despite the church teachings that a man should only be wed with a woman. In the Pope's point of view, every person has a right to be part of a family and that includes the LGBT community. However many Catholics voice out and show displeasure towards the Pope's comments about it. A Bishop also disagree with the Pope saying the he is contradicting the "long-standing teaching of the Church". But other Archbishops stand with people should have equal rights and the Church is adapting to the change reality displays in front of them.

The writer takes a stand with the Church reacting to societal change. Furthermore while discussing the Pope's and other bishops comments about the issue presented to them, the writer also include the comments disagreeing with the Pope's claims. However the point where the Pope's comment came from another Church teaching (the law of love embraces the entire human family and know no limits) summarizes and defends it all.

The writer's purpose of writing this article is to give everyone an idea of how Church responds to this kind of issues. And it also emphasize that the Church's evaluation in the different beliefs undergo the evaluation of all Church Fathers.
