Global warming is an ongoing issue in the modern world. There are many causes of global warming, the most known causes are greenhouse gases, humans and the sun. These causes consist mostly of changes in the temperature of the Earth. So if we know what global warming, shouldn’t we be able to fix them? But before we get into that, what is global warming?

What is global warming and why do we have it?

Global warming is the unusually fast increase in the Earth's temperature. Heat from the sun is trapped mainly by four gases in our atmosphere: carbon dioxide, water vapor, methane and ozone. They're also known as the greenhouse gases. Without these four gases much of the heat would just bounce right back into space. These gasses work well unless they aren't balanced, which is the answer to the question: Why do we have global warming? You see, the gases are no longer balanced when we burn fossil fuels like coal, oil and natural gas. Those release too much carbon dioxide and too much carbon dioxide means too much heat getting trapped. Now sometimes the heat gets trapped in one particular place. This is what causes global warming. To sum up what we said so far, greenhouse gasses are good, but if there's too much, it can hurt the environment and the gasses would no longer be balanced.

What can we do to stop global warming?
First, we can start using renewable energy sources. For example, using solar powered electricity. Also, another way we can stop global warming is by limiting electricity usage. Recycling is also another very important factor to stop global warming. Finally, you can try planting a tree to balance oxygen with the carbon dioxide in the atmosphere.

In conclusion, if we do not do anything and things continue to go on like right now, then a day in future will come when humans will become extinct. But instead of ignoring these problems, we can save the earth and our future.
