Deliver at least 3 evidence points supporting the resolution of why distance learning does not slow down covid-19 - 4 step process of refutation = YOU SAY, BUT that does not mean, BECAUSE, THEREFORE,
Distance learning does not slow down COVID-19, in-fact,
1. According to the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and The Salk Institute in the Biological studies department, mandatory social isolation has a negative effect
on an average human's brain function. For example, human's brains are wired to be a social species and crave social interaction, because the part of our brain that is
responsible for encouraging us to go out and receive social interaction is just as if it were to be us receiving a meal to eat, or money to save or spend. These Scientists
of MIT and The Salk Institute of Biological Studies, have found that the human brain over-reacts to images or videos of socially based scenarios while being isolated, much
like when you or somebody else is hungry, humans tend to over-react to images or videos of food, when presented with them, again.. while being hungry. Also, these scientists
spent around four years studying and answering the question of how social isolation effects the human brain, by setting up a control trial testing system, in which participants
fasted for 10 hours, while others were isolated for 10 hours. The longer time spent isolated or fasting, the more the human brain craved social interaction, and the human body
craved substance the longer they were hungry for.

My first point is, we all have different needs, one of them is socialization, it's biological that human's crave human interaction. With extra time
not having to be actually at school, you give students of all ages more time to socialize amongst each other, travel more, go other places that students wouldn't normally go to
if they were required to be at school, increasing the opportunity to spread COVID-19, if you isolate college students from having to go to school, then they will crave social interaction
even more, giving them more time to go out and party with plenty of people, and we've all heard the stories of people ages 18-24 partying and not complying with COVID-19 guidelines.

Secondly, online schooling gives students more time to work, and they often work in food service and customer service industries, and according to US Government statistics, almost 13 and a half million people work in the restaurant industry, and many of those are students, whether it's high school or College, obviously interacting closely with more people than they would at school therefore there is more of a risk and opportunity of spreading COVID-19.

And my third point is, since schools were forced to switch to online learning in September, and the United States having more online learning happening than ever before, COVId-19 cases in the United States have only gone up, and they have gone up significantly since students were forced into online learning in September, up until now in November, Covid Cases have increased by upwards of 600,000, and spreading much faster than before online schooling had started, for example, on November 10th, the United States had over 139,000 newly positive covid cases, compared to the beginning of September, specifically the 2nd, with only 32,122 newly positive cases, according to the CDC. Overall, forcing students to learn online gives them much more free time that they wouldn't normally have, increasing the spread of covid-19.
