Jinx, Hex, Curse
1. Jinx
Jinx termasuk dalam minor dark magic karena efek mantra ini yaitu untuk mengganggu atau memberikan efek jengkel kepada target. Biasanya Jinx digunakan hanya untuk lelucon atau keisengan si target. Contoh, Flipendo(membuat target terpental/terlempar ke belakang)
2. Hex
Hex itu jenis mantra yang biasanya dimaksudkan untuk menyebabkan tingkat tertentu rasa sakit dan ketidaknyamanan dan dapat digunakan untuk defensif. Contoh, Engorgio (membuat ukuran membesara seketika. Varian lainnya Engorgio Skullus)
3. Curse
Curse ini jika dibandingkan dengan jenis spell lain, dia yang menimbulkan tingkat kerusakan paling tinggi. Jenis ini termasuk dalam 'Dark Charm' karena kebanyakan efeknya adalah merusak, menyakiti dan membunuh. Contoh Curse spell, Sectumsempra dan crucio
Perbedaan
Jinx hanya memberi efek jengkel - Hex efeknya lebih menyakitkan tapi tidak mematikan - Curse memiliki efek kerusakan paling tinggi dan bisa mematikan
