In this video I wanted to cover some recent news we got from a Respawn Developer about Wraith and some future updates and changes she will be getting. So as you guys probably know, in the past couple seasons wraith has gotten multiple nerfs, including a new delay that was added to her tactical, the removal of her iconic naruto run, and more slight adjustments. The reason behind Respawn giving her all these nerfs is because she has always had the highest win rate and pick rate but if you look at the statistics of her nerfs before and after. Most the time, the nerfs didnt do much to lower her pick rate and win rate, and many people have said that lack of change in her win rates is because the sweaty players play wraith so nerfs wont affect their pure skill, meaning she would still have a high win rate. But according to the Respawn Developer Daniel Klein, they are still looking to quote unquote "..bring her under control...". On a podcast, Daniel the Respawn dev said many things about Wraith, starting out with

“I don’t want to hit her kit any more. We’ve pushed that to the breaking point where it’s barely still fun, but the extremely wind-up on her tactical ⁠— as much as it was necessary ⁠— it puts the ability more into the camp of cerebral power rather than satisfying in the moment power,” Which definitely makes sense to me. But then he went on to say.

"“With Wraith, our approach is going to be very similar to Pathfinder. We’re going to take a look at her hitboxes and see how much wiggle room we have there." Now, I was surprised to see that he was interested in changing her hitbox more, even though they already removed her naruto run, specifically to make her easier to hit. However, he then said "Nothing is guaranteed yet, we haven’t started work yet. I’ve asked one of our technical artists to take a look at it. Whenever he gets around to it, we will know more." So obviously these changes arent confirmed but they are definitely looking into these changes right now and are likely planning to update her in season 8. The Respawn Dev also said

"“My earnest hope is that we can bring her under control with just hitbox changes, and then maybe even look at ways at making her more in-the-moment fun again, and find a balance point between her tactical now and what it used to be.” So that seems to mean that they will probably make a nerf to her hitbox in season 8, making her hitbox bigger and easier to hit since she has the smallest hitbox in the game. But then after that, it seems they plan to make her "more in the moment fun again" just like she was before her tactical was nerfed with a delay. Now honestly, I don't play wraith much so this wont affect me much but I know the community loved Wraith's old sprinting animation so if they nerf wraith's hitbox even more in Season 8, to keep Wraith under control, like Daniel Klein said, then they might as well bring back her naruto run. But im definitely excited to see how they update wriath in season 8.
