About 42 000 000 tonnes of meat are obtained from the earth's surface but we only take about 33 000 000 tonnes of fish from the ocean which has grater area ,so that means only a tiny part of offering made by the sea is used by us. Some reasons for this are that old- fashioned ways are still used by many people in a lot of countries and there may be a reason that fisherman do not like to go far away from they home waters. But a big reason might be this that man does not still consider that oceans can also be cultivated or farmed. Sea;s can be farmed by pumping up the minerals bringing them closer to the sea , as fish abound only where they found plentiful of food supplies and those are the tiny forms of animals and vegetable life called plankton . This would be forming 'pastures of the sea' that would be attracting areas for fishes. By setting up electronic barriers around them we could fence in the pastures of the sea. Most fish do not try to swim away through fence made of air bubbles, so it can work too.
