but you filled my heart with your character.

I’m tearing you apart when we’re together
You’re tearing me apart when you’re gone
Because we are the same,
but our circumstances are different.
I couldn’t give you the one thing you needed most
to physically be taken care of and protected
While you gave me what I needed most
to mentally be known and understood.
A hug and a kiss is what we both needed
but this birthday wish has not come true.

Now you left again, like a wounded deer
you slipped out of my sight, it broke my heart.
I went all the way to forget you,
filled my mind with distractions to push you out.
But it seems my heart cannot detach.
Last night you were in my dreams.

I hope you find ways to heal,
I hope you find what you really need,

My pain is nothing compared to yours.
I have to accept you’re gone,
I know it’s the only way for you,
