A. Simple Meter - is grouped by duple (two) Triple (three) Quadruple (four)
>Duple Meter - two beats in one measure
>Triple Meter - three beats in one measure
>Quadruple Meter - four beats in one measure
B. Compound Meter - is grouped into three's (3/8), Six's (6/8), Nine's (9/8) beats
