Hey guys sethly here back with another apex legends video, i hope you're all having a fantastic day. In this video I wanted to talk about something that I honestly had forgotten about until the winter express LTM came out the other day, and that is the current state of the triple take and what Respawn has planned for its future. If you didnt know, the triple take has had many slight adjustments over the seasons, boosting it to one of the best weapons of certain seasons, and at times, one of the worst... well, kinda. Back in Season 6, the triple take got a few really big buffs that increased its power drastically. They increased the fire rate, as well as the mag sizes, and last but certainly not least, they made the choke permanently attached. Its definitely safe to say those buffs were far to much and Respawn recognized that the nerf they implemented part way through season 6 wasnt enough, so in the beginning of season 7 they Nerfed the triple take by lowering the fire rate back down to 1.2, the rate it had before season 6's buff. The devs left a note explaining that "The Triple Take is still performing a bit too well after the most recent nerf, so we are reducing the fire rate back to what it was before the 6.0 patch. We will be watching in the future to see how the integrated choke, sniper ammo increase, and new popularity, affect the weapon’s performance." Now to be honest, I have always known the triple take is really good, especially if you want high damage, but I just recently started using it during season 7 because it was a part of one of the loadouts in winter express and I started to realize how powerful it is in pretty much all situations, even though they just recently lowered its fire rate. However, the devs did state in the season 7 patch notes that they would continue to be "watching in the future to see how" the weapon's performance has been affected. Im not to sure about you guys, but im starting to think the fire rate nerf really didnt do much to take away from how strong it is and I wouldnt be surprised if they made another slight update to the triple take to keep it under control. It would be a lot easier to tell if they're planning a nerf for the triple take in season 8, if I could see the stats and data of how they weapon has changed since the fire rate nerf but for know we will have to wait and see but I think there is definitely a chance that since they are still keeping an eye on the triple take, they could already be working on how to change it for next season.
