Since TKR plays a big role in cell reproduction, the research of CK2, and how it communicates with the receptors could assist in stopping viruses from interfering with reproduction.

But perhaps most surprising was the international team’s finding that SARS-CoV-2 activated a kinase called CK2, which in turn appeared to stimulate the production of filopodia, tiny tentacle-like protuberances that extend out from the cell’s surface.

CK2 is a type of kinase receptor that is important for the creations of pathways by signaling which is important for sars cos --- the pathways are used by the virus to create more virus; it allows for easier spreading of the virus. Sar Cov2 activates ck2 which helps stimulate the production of Filopodia which is the tentacle-like structure that allows them to help spread the virus to neighboring cells. It could also help weaken the cells.

Cancer cells also use these filopodia to create blood vessels to transport resources that weaken the cells around them. The virus also uses this technique to weaken these cells which will make it easier to hijack.
