Once you submit your application, you will receive an email with instructions on how to access your student portal. Be sure to check your spam and junk folders and mark [email protected] as an email address that should come straight to your inbox.

Next steps for the academic portion of your holistic review:

Students who have taken ALL coursework WITHIN the U.S.: you will self-report all of your coursework including electives, senior schedule, grades, and test scores (if you choose to provide them) at this link.

International students OR students who haved taken ANY coursework OUTSIDE the U.S.: you will submit unofficial copies of all transcripts for us to review. We will provide you with instructions through email on how to submit these.

Begin applying for financial aid and scholarships. The General Scholarship Application will be available late August 2020 and the FAFSA is available beginning on October 1, 2020. Both of these must be filled out to be considered for need and merit based scholarships. You will need your nine-digit application ID number to apply for scholarships, which will be sent to you after you apply for admission. Be sure to submit these applications by their deadlines.

Consider visiting Virginia Tech if you are able. We believe the campus visit is important as you decide if we are the school for you. Please check out the different options for visiting here. If you are unable to visit, do not worry as we do not track demonstrated interest in our admission process.

Check the email address on your application on at least a weekly basis. If we need anything from you throughout this process, we will contact you through email.
