Le cours a lieu au Gymnase des Accacias (Rue des Acacias, LE CREUSOT) tous les mardis en fin de journée, de 19h30 à 20h30.
Le step se rapproche du fitness. C'est une activité qui permet d'entretenir sa condition physique et d'améliorer son endurance par des mouvements (de souplesse et / ou de gym, par exemple : montée de genoux) réalisés sur un step (terme que l'on peut traduire par "marche").
Le cours de step peut être chorégraphié c'est le cas à l'UGC : il se déroule sur une musique et se compose de deux à trois "chorégraphies" ( des enchaînements bien déterminés de mouvements) : ce qui fait travailler également la coordination et la mémoire.
Le tarif adulte hors étudiant est de 110 euros à l'année.
