Nebula
a nebula is a large cloud of gas and dust that spread out in an immense volume
gravity can pull some of the gas and dust in a nebula together
Nebular Theory
The sun and plants formed from a rotating disk of dust and gases
the speed of a rotation increased the center of the disk began to flatten out
Matter became more concentrated in this center where the sun eventually formed.
Protostar
The birth of a star
the cloud pulled together forms a prostar which is the earliest stage of a stars life
Happens weather its a low mass or high mass

The stars mass will determines how long it will live
A low mass star uses up its fuel slowly and becomes a white dwarf
Small mass stars have much longer lives.
A star is low mass star and will take billions of years for it to die
RED GIANT
As the run out of fuel their outer layers expand becoming RED GIANTS
PLANETARY NEBULA
Eventually the outer parts grow larger and drift into space forming a glowing cloud of gas called a PLANETARY NEBLA
WHITE DWARF
the blue-white core of a star left behind cools and becomes a WHITE DWARF
HIGH MASS STARS evolve into brilliant supergiants
SUPERGIANTS runs out of fuel can explode suddenly into a supernova the remains become either a neutron star
NEUTRON STARS
after a supergiant explodes some of the leftover materials from a neutron star
neutron stars are the remains of a high-mass star
they are smaller and denser than white dwarfs
