Hey guys sethly here back with another apex legends video, I hope your having fantastic day. Lets just hop right into the news weve gotten recently. Starting out with a tweet I saw on my timeline recently, it was from one of my favorite developers at respawn, the Principal Animator for Apex, Moy Parra. He tweeted out saying "Before we launched Apex I already enjoyed working on the characters. But now, it's more like "oh, I get to animate the famous Pathfinder or Wattson, etc. A character that is played and loved by millions of people" And it just gives you a good feeling even before you start"

Now on the surface level, this doesnt seem like much but when you think about it, what purpose would Moy have to be working on some of the original characters like pathfinder right now? Also, what caused him to make this tweet? The only answer that I can think of, is that he was working on some new animations for pathfinder and or some other legends and he realized how the feeling has changed compared to when he first started working on legend animations. So i wouldnt be surprised if some new animations are in the works for certain legends but there is always they chance I could be way off.

Next I wanted to quickly cover a new glitch I saw pop up on reddit. Ill show an example of it on screen right now and as you can see, a gibby used a grappled while in Winter Express so its looking like there is a glitch going around the LTM where people have the wrong character model when playing. For example, the clip I showed you was a pathfinder with a gibraltar charcater model and as far as I know this glitch doesnt affect hitboxes. So hopefully this glitch is one that can be patched quickly because it seems pretty game breaking, so Ill keep you updated if we get any news about a fix for that bug.

Lastly I wanted to talk about the current state of skill based matchmaking in apex since a while back we got an update from Monsterclip, also known as Jason McCord the lead design director at respawn, on how the S B M M system works in season 7. Its been almost a month since we got that information on skill based and so far it seems like they have definitely made some changes to the system but as far as if the changes have made it better, Im not to sure. Jason McCord stated about a month ago that he doesnt think the system is flawless and they were discussing improvements as well as they often make changes and tweaks through the back end that arent announced. I think they definitely implemented some of those tweaks since he made this statement but I personally think SBMM has gotten a bit worse for me personally. But unfortunately we dont know what changes have been made or what changes are still in the works.

However, I saw a tweet from TSM Viss that I thought was a great idea even though it may be to much wishful thinking. He tweeted saying "If apex had the playerbase to split premade groups and solo que, it would be a big improvement." Now, I totally agree with him on that one since I solo queue a lot and I think a change like that could help a lot, however, it would definitely be extremeley difficult to implement.
