Sources A and B are similar in terms of both having good occupations. In source A, it states 'I was also a community leader of my dialect group and presided over the clan association.' Similarly, in source B, it also states 'I was a self-trained marine biologist, and thrived at my new post.'
Both Sources A and C are similar in terms of wealth. In Source A, this can be supported by the quote "As such the British authorities respected me for my wealth".In Source C, this can be supported by the quote "I came from a wealthy family and I remembered back in the 1930s". This explains that the lives of Tan Tock Seng and Mrs Siraj were laidback.
However, Source A is different in terms of Tan Tock Seng helping a community while Source B is different in terms of Mrs Siraj's mother helping a poor family. In source A, this can be supported by the quote "I decided to help my community by building a hospital for the poor and paid for their funerals and for the construction of Thian Hock Keng Temple, a place of worship for my community." While in Source C, this can be supported by the quote "My mother used to give rice, sugar, milk, coffee, tea and then money, every month, then every week.
