The bagel man
A long long time ago when I was a young child my father left my family to "pursue his dreams" as my mother always said. But I was happy without him for my mother was perfect. She was good at everything from cooking to cleaning she was the perfect mother. But the when she cooked all she ever made were bagels. For breakfast I had a bagel with cream cheese for lunch I had a bagel sandwich and I had bagels for dinner to. Most would get sick of bagels everyday but I could feel the passion, the perfect materials and the best cooking in the world all from one bagel. So I never got sick of bagels. One day i decided to try somethin else for I yearned for some variety. I ate pizza biggest mistake of my life. The bread was dry and crisp not like the warm fluffy bagel bread that melted in your mouth. The ingredients were clearly bought from your local supermarket and There was no passion the passion was sucked out of these minimum wage workers. From then on I only ate my mothers bagels.
Soon after my mother passed away. By then I was old enough to take care of myself but the food that i loved was gone. I cooked for myself but my love of bagels was gone. So I tried mcdonalds but the cooking was bad. I tried kfc but the restaurant was too dirty to even enjoy the food. I tried burger king but the store got shot up the moment i stepped inside. Finally I tried panda food but I could feel the tears of multiple asians screaming this is not chinese food. Off in the distance i smelled something, something wonderful. To investigate I went out of panda food and walked in the direction of the smell. EVentually I came across a building called Einstein bagels... I had not eaten bagels since my mother died because they haunted my dreams. I decided to give it a try. I went into the long line of people that was moving quickly. Good service I thought as I cam to the counter. A man 6'1 came to the desk and said "welcome to einstein bagels what can I get you" I looked at the menu. I could not make a choice for there were so many good choices to choose from. As I opened my mouth to ask what he reccomended he said before I could speak "I think you would like the turkey bagel sandwich." This was the bagel my mother made for me most often but how would he know. I said sure and got one. It came at record speeds and I ate it. It was the best thing I had ever had, I went home in shock curled up on my bed and shed a single tear of joy. I had finally found my love for bagels again but due to the shock I could not return for another week.
