Should we put boots on the ground in Iraq and Syria?

Pros:
1. We would be disobeying the Bush Doctrine (doctrine stating that the USA would protect the world from terrorism) by not participating with troops.
2. ISIS could grow if we do not help them.
3. Airstrikes do not solve everything.
4. More people would die if we do not put boots on the ground.
5. You need soldiers to get into trenches.
6. Presidents can use whichever methods they want to get rid of countries that participated in 9/11.
7. Less civilians would be killed.
8. Other terrorist groups are forming; we need troops to get them all. (Khorasan)
9. Conditions are getting worse.
10. Would be hard to take out such a large area with airstrikes.
11. They do not have to be our troops.
Cons:
1. It's not our war.
2. Wars cost billions of $ and lives.
3. Terrorists can't be beaten.
4. Other countries have feelings.
5. It will not instill a feeling of patriotism in Iraq.
6. We could kill innocent civilians.
7. Obama promised not to use boots on the ground.
8. The five small Middle Eastern countries may not be able to carry the whole attack. (Jordan, Bahrain, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates)
9. Airstrikes seem to be working.
10. We don't know exactly how many people there are; it might not be a lot.
11. There are mothers, daughters, sons, and fathers.
12. Do we want to repeat the Persian Gulf War?
