Thank you for giving such clear, helpful, and encouraging comments on my final paper, and for submitting it to be considered for the Boothe Prize nomination! I'm so so honored and grateful.
I also really appreciate your sharing the NYT article with my classmates, as well as setting up the Google Drive with their papers. I loved reading them and seeing how our perspectives aligned and differed on these topics.
I hope you are having a good start to your break! Ours is extremely long, so I've been volunteering at a few organizations through the Haas Center, and I got a part-time job writing coverage of short stories at a publishing company.
I am also looking at applying to summer internships, and was wondering if you would be able to write me a letter of recommendation. I am exploring mostly arts and media companies—in all my fall quarter classes, I was fascinated by how arts and media have been able to shape public opinion and effect change. Right now, I am looking specifically at this set of internships through the Television Academy: https://www.emmys.com/foundation/internships
Per their website, they are requesting:
Two letters of recommendation addressed to the Internship Committee (at least one must be from an academic and on the institution's letterhead). Professional references include any person who has had a supervisory role with you in the classroom, an internship, work, or project-based environment. Personal references will not be accepted. The application is due January 19. Please let me know if you'd be willing to do this and I will send you the link to upload your letter! I've also attached my resume if that is helpful for you.
