Land Ownership- Land Ownership is important because the Natives thought off land very differently and the british took advantage of that. For people who come to the colonies the significance of land owneship is that they get to vote, and to be a citizen. You have legal rights, in effect your a person. Gives you protection under the law. If you live in the colonies land ownership is why you went there. Woman cannot be equal to Men. They can vote and alot more stuff. Nowone, all, and everyone are bad words in history. Majority of Men and Women were fine with this. Children work unless they are wealthy, then they go to school and play. As the colnial era goes along one thing that happens because of land ownership and groups like the puritans literacy becomes significant. Literacy- ability to read and write. Eventually Moms will gteach the kids. Literacy rates get higher over the years.
New England and Midlle Colonies-70 Southern Colonies-30 Percentage of literacy in thoiose places. Boston really is the education center off the world. One off the first places in the world has free education for children. (Boston). Big woodone barreles that hold goods for fermentatation. Copper rings on the barrel. Person who makes that is a couper. As colonies and literacy grows newspapers play an enormous role.
