Physical Education Career Research

The Learning Style Inventory was telling you how you like to learn, and what is best for you. I was informed that I am very independent, a little bit high auditory, I like a Traditional Setting, and I have no intake. I was also informed that I have a low kinesthetic, and I like bright lights when learning. I was told that I am more still, and I am about in the middle for self-motivation, and I am also in the middle for focusing. I need quiet in the background and I have more of a less structure as well as a low tactile, and that I am in about the middle for teacher motivation. I like to be in the middle of the day and I like to have both a cool and warm environment, and I am in the middle for visuals. Overall, I think most of these were about correct and I learned a lot more of myself that I will be trying out when studying or working on homework such as quiet in the background, maybe I can try to go somewhere quiet in the house and see how it goes for me.

The Strengths Explorer Test is there to see your top 3 themes of natural talent and which ways you think, feel, and act. I received “Relating” for my first word, and that means that I like to start friendships and keep them for a long time, and even your whole life, and I widen the circle of friends for yourself and others. I also received Dependability and that means that Trust is important to me, and I care about being seen as responsible and trustworthy. I am also counted on by other people and when I make a promise, I keep it. I also received Competing, and this means I may see things in life as a game, and I feel great joy when I win and I hate to lose because I am always striving for that First Place. I feel that all 3 of these descriptions of me were correct, I like to win and be competitive, I have friends that I have talked to for 7 years and we still hangout to this day and we can count on each other, and I am cared about by others.

The MI Advantage Test is there for you to learn your strengths and overcome your challenges. I received a High on the Logical- Mathematical which I feel is correct since I learn quickly. It also states that I am Interpersonal and that means I am relating to relationships or communication between people, this was High, and that means I am good with relationships and I am good at communicating. I also got Intrapersonal which is also about communicating which I am good at. I was also given the Linguistic setting in the Mid Level, that is relating to a language. I actually speak another language and so I am linguistic. It tells me that I am Bodily-Kinesthetic in the Middle Level, which refers to a person’s ability to process information physically through hand and body movement, control, and expression. I think this is correct because I am good at understanding others and communicating without saying words but with actions like movement, and expression. Spatial is just at the bottom of the middle category, it is related to occupying space, and I might save time and space and I have the character of space which I think I relate to. Existential is at the very top of the Low Level which means that I am concerned with existence which I do not think is exactly correct but not really too sure. It also says I am a musician in the middle of the low category, and this is correct because I only like music I pick and a style, and I have a playlist just for me which I like. The end is saying I am Naturalist which is meaning I am an expert in or student of natural history which is sort of correct since its the lowest thing on the graph, and I like history but not too much, this year tho it is pretty fun.

I have 3 dream jobs that I am trying to aim for any one of them, and my favorite job is going to be an Airline Pilot. An Airline Pilot is the controller of an airplane. The job is you go to the airport you are assigned to, and you will be told a gate, once you go there and board the plane, you are to setup the aircraft by putting the route in the FMC, and making sure all is safe, and then once passengers are boarded, you fly them to the airport you are told to and you fly all day. The average wage of an airline pilot in the state of Illinois is $146,150, and that is pretty good, after paying your bills, groceries, training fee, and other stuff you pay for. Training to become a Airline Pilot requires you have your private pilot license, and have a bachelor's degree, from there you can begin the commercial pilot training and your twin engine certification allowing you to fly bigger 2 engine aircraft, from there you can be a flight instructor or work for a smaller airline that does not require too many hours, and when you have around 1500 hours, you could apply for a regional airline and continue up to the big airlines. Pilots are there to transport civilians around the whole world, and as well as transporting cargo depending on the airline, and you will work a lot and it takes a lot of paperwork and talking to get there. It states that the projected growth of airline pilots are 5% meaning it is luckily still gaining but not too much so in the future, pilots will be retiring and there will be demand meaning the wage might go up quite a bit, but at the moment there are lots of airlines including FedEx, UPS, American Airlines hiring, basically EVERY airline is hiring 24/7. To become an airline pilot, you just need your licenses and certifications but that takes a lot of tests before you are ready to fly for a big airline. Mathematics and Engineering is quite important for the job. Pilots work inside an Aircraft that is 90% at 30,000 to 42,000 feet in the air so you could say you are working inside, but high up in a metal tube, and you also do a lot of paperwork, and pre-flight briefings at the pilot lounge in the airport. Based on my personality, an Airline Pilot is a perfect job for me because I am in accelerated mathematics at the moment, and I can learn very easily and quickly and my grades are very good at the moment, I have also been flight simming for 3 years, and every 2 - 3 months or so, I head to Gurnee, IL to go into a 737-800 Flight Simulator which is a very commonly used aircraft for American Airlines and it has all the buttons, but at home I own a game called X-Plane 11 that is a flight simulator and I get to fly aircraft with the flight yoke and joystick I have. I would like to be an airline pilot when I grow up and I just gotta work hard to get there.
