Yale
- well-spoken
- that is why columbia was like that
- 90% questbridge scholars

- a lot of congrulations, put together a complete college application
- sent it off nationally
- be proud, fele really good you are going something really good with affordability
- stakes are not high, the hard part is over
- competitive and in good shape, because QB accepted it
- can accept documents after november 1st
- already collecting a group of students that they want to match with, already looking through it
- super open and clear
- if you don't match, you haven't been denied, it will be rolled into regular decision prrocess, it will roll over, it is not over
- if the application is incomplete it will be rolled to regular decision

- reasons for match, doesn't say anything about the strength of your application
- don't need to change anything, is only looking for report from updated transcript
- get final decision from yale at the end of march

- make sure klein sent official transcript(will be seen missing)

why yale
- absolutely do not have to visit campus
- information on yale, go to tours, deep different websites, live stem student forums*****, talk about what has drawn you to yale, academics or department, activity to continue or never had the oppurtunity to explore before, what might you gain what might you add to yale, if you took out yale's name and it still works then keep working.
- yale doesn't look at demonstrated interest
- you can self report AP scores
- more is not better, don't pile stuff in, most people who get in don't need to pile things in
- don't need to feel like you need to add
- if it makes you feel better, it will be in addition not swap
- mentioned computer science

interviews
- after november 1st, contacted for an interview
- student or an alumn - roughly 30 minutes
- don't need to dress formal, more like a conversation
- oppurtunity to ask them what it is like to attend yale
- office of financial aid at yale, contact them
- official transcript will be shown if yale needs it
- AP Scores does not be affected by saying no to test scores
- superscore
- either is fine, its fine its not the biggest problem, don't sweat it
- what does financial aid actually cover, tuition, housing, meals, travel, books, anyone who applies through the match or not all best financial aid ever, for people who have 0 PC
- if something comes up, a safety net like flying home
- they have a lot of money
- if sent on FAFSA and CSS, all set
- they love reading it, they are not looking for any person
- if they like then they will put us in
- bright and cool for selective applicants
- they will consider us the same way QB considers us

- first person, past tense, how you went form regular HS student, make personal story, can be simply be . saw QB researched sounded good, don't feel like you need to do a ton of research to make a case for all the specific things you want to do, your experience getting to the point of getting to yale, what hw have you done and how you made that connection
- not a mechanical admissions
- real people reading your applications, having real conversations about you, two main topics, what two things they are looking for optimize, for students who will add to their environments and students who will take away an enormous amount from yale.
- show that you are hungry to take advantage of all of those things
- why yale and not anywhere else
- they love their job
- spectacular students and unique stories
- if submit AP score in QB it should be fine
- green checkmark, for transcript it is good, if its a official one from counselor is considered official, green checkmark is all fine
- no one piece will make or break application
- self-report through portal for questbridge
- students are able to choose all their courses
