1.The thickest layer of the Earth is the mantle Is considering the core as two parts (Inner and Outer Core), then the mantle is the thickest single layer, located between the …crust and the outer core.
2.The inner core is solid because it is made of very dense and heavy, materials - like iron and nickel.
