roger made a big life change in thank you mamm through langston hughes. this is mainly due to the fact that even though roger tried to steal Mrs. hughes purse, she treated him with kindness while sill teaching him a lesson, to not steal. on pharagraph 42,after giving him money to buy blue sued shoes, Mrs. hughes says "And next time, do not make the mistake of laching onto my pocketbook nor nobody else’s — because shoes come by devilesh like that will burn your feet." the entire reason of roger stealing was trying to get enough money for blue sued shoes, but Mrs. hughes teaches roger that you dont need to steal. in conclusion, roger made a big change in his life because he meet Mrs. hughes, because she took him in, and tought him a valuble lesson that night.
