Defense mechanisms= are psychological strategies used

Denial= is a defense mechanism that involves pretending
that a difficult situation or problem does not exist.
All living things, including humans, contain a complete

many individual traits and features, including our size,
shape, gender, skin color, and brain development.
The ego is the part of the conscious mind that makes
deliberate decisions and is aware of sensory data and
our train of thought.
Genetics= is the science of heredity and variation in
living organisms.
The id is the part of the unconscious mind that tries to
achieve pleasure in life. The ego must control the id
and its desires if we are to avoid socially unacceptable
behavior.
This is a theory proposed by psychologist Abraham
Maslow that states that human needs are hierarchical
in nature. Only when basic physiological needs are
met can a person focus on meeting higher needs,
such as social needs and self-esteem.
A motive is an emotional need or desire that causes a
person to act in a certain way.
Believed to be lying between the conscious and
unconscious mind, the preconscious holds ideas or
motives that are very close to our direct thought
processes, including unrepressed memories.
