Fall Car Camping In Michigan | Cold Weather SUV Camping in my Toyota Rav 4!
[, Music ] all right, you guys well welcome back to the channel. We just got back from the upper peninsula today we're going camping with our friend ryan, we're currently in ludington michigan waiting for him to come. We actually went to this spot earlier in the year and i was just sitting at home thinking about all the things that i need to do and what's 24 hours gon na. Do i nothing's gon na my business isn't gon na end. If i take 24 hours to go camping and that's honestly, why i quit my job and why i am a photographer, is to be able to just make a decision to spur of the moment. Go camping like this. So it's supposed to be rainy and cold. Like i said, but we don't care, we just want to soak up as much camping as we can before it's too cold andrew's inside right now, getting us some hot dog buns and a few last-minute things we're waiting for ryan to meet us here and then we Are headed out to our camp spot andrew just got back and he got a nine foot by 12 foot tarp for how much five dollars five dollars, that's a steal. Hopefully this thing does us well because it's supposed to rain tonight i mean for five bucks. You can destroy it, it doesn't matter so any minute. Ryan and his big red truck should be coming right here there he is oh [, Music ], we're iphone it up. How'S it going [, Music ] all right! Well, that was gon na be our spot. I think we might have found one right over here. I think all right. Well, we found a spot, it's not the original spot. But honestly, i think i might like this one better ryan made it and he's actually got a cab on his truck now and he's got a whole little camper set up. So we'll show you guys that later, but right now we're gon na get firewood because it's basically rained all day but as you can see, we're in a pine tree forest, so we're gon na go, get some firewood and try to cut it up and dry. It out before we light a fire all right, andrew came through with a big dead down tree [, Music ]. Oh my god. I cannot get over the color literally oh, my god, there he is bumping as usual yeah. I can't believe. You'Ve never been back here. [, Music, ], [ Applause, ], [, Music, ] all right. Well, we got a fire lit, we're just gon na basically hang out. I honestly i'm not too worried about photos. I just wanted to get out before it's gon na be way too cold. The color is way more beautiful than i thought it was gon na be. I thought it would be past peak here. Were we going anywhere for sunset or yeah? I think we're just gon na hang out and chill. That'S really. The whole point we came out here is to just relax, because i really should be editing right now so and here's ryan's little truck bed setup. It'S not done yet at all two inch foam mattress pad here. The drawer system yeah there's a lot of just random crap in there. This is definitely much more advanced than our little platform like we literally just have the platform. We don't have any drawers or anything like that. So shout out to you probably going to be cozy in there, so i'm not really sure why it looks like we have so much stuff in the car. We'Re literally only coming for one night, but we just have all of like this sleeping pad and everything up here. Um. We don't have too much underneath here. We just didn't really pack it very well. We literally just shoved everything in, like i said i probably shouldn't have even came out here but uh, but yeah. We are gon na just wait for it to get dark and enjoy camping, ryan's trusty, camping, chair and so what'd you bring for her food. I brought i'll show you guys bananas, a raincoat can't eat that oatmeal had to have the oatmeal. We have the same oatmeal three rice, cakes whole thing of coffee. Actually apples. When did you start drinking coffee? Recently i see that peanut butter and leftover ketchup for my trip up north nice and we brought chicken noodle soup, hot dogs and bacon and oatmeal for the morning [ Music ]. This is actually the first time we have even set up these lights. This is where we're going to be sleeping tonight and we're trying to be cozy with the aesthetic vibes we can't compete with ryan in his truck setup, though oh that's pretty nice, who do you think's cozier. We are cooking up some well, i'm not cooking up andrew over here is cooking up. Some chicken noodle soup got frozen chicken noodle soup in there and we just got ta boil the noodles. Well, this is the frozen base that we made at home, and we just are gon na boil that well warm it up and then we're gon na boil noodles and we have homemade chicken, noodle soup, [, Music, ], [, Music, ] andrew, is looking uh pretty cozy. In there how you feeling cold now, the doors open last night actually wasn't as cold as i thought i was pretty cold before we went to bed ryan seems to beg to differ. Apparently sleeping in one of these things is a little bit not as chilly yeah. Actually, i actually didn't realize that our car was going to be as warm as it was. We were pretty good. Really. The only issue was my hands were cold, so i just had to wrap those up in my blanket but yeah. So we survived our first super cold night. I think it got down to 30 degrees. Last night, andrew's, still sleeping as you guys saw well he's awake now. We'Re gon na make some bacon and some breakfast and uh get moving [ Music, ], [, Music, ] ryan's doing some selfie action with drone and there he is over there. I haven't really taken any photos this morning. There'S some incredible morning light coming in, but to be honest with you, i'm kind of just relaxing and enjoying this camping trip we took so many photos in the upper peninsula and fall up here is so gorgeous it's hard not to shoot. But it's honestly been nice to just relax this morning and just kind of have a slow morning. Waking up in the woods we just made some coffee, you guys down for some bacon. All right, i think bacon is next on the agenda. [, Music, ], [ Applause, ], [, Music, ], oh my gosh, this bacon smells amazing. One of my favorite things to do while camping is make amazing food and, let's be real here, i'm no cook. Obviously, we all know that andrew is a real chef in this relationship. Here also ryan says: he's he's not a cook if you watch his last video but uh, but thankfully andrew went to culinary school, so he has us all covered. Oh man, i literally chilled the entire morning. It was just so nice to wake up in the middle of the woods, surrounded by fall, color and just i don't know - have good company last night was awesome, shout out to elijah for coming to hang with us. So ryan headed home, and we really just checked out the foliage and flew the drone around the area. Now it might seem crazy for some people to drive four hours for just one night, but to me lately, camping is one of the only ways i can truly escape the craziness of busy season and just enjoy the simple things in life for a night: [, Music, ] [ Applause, ], [, Music, ], you
