Apple's App Store Takes on Fakespot

Fakespot has a website that states it is Fakespot is an application that has an aim to "bring trust to the internet through eliminating misinformation and fraudulent, starting with eCommerce". Fakespot is a website that assesses the Amazon eCommerce websites. Fakespot was eventually shut down due to this fact. Amazon attempted to remove Fakespot from Apple's App Store. Ultimately, Amazon was successful.

Fakespot was not allowed to show the Amazon website within their application as an extension of the application. Fakespot was not allowed to show Amazon's website in an app wrapper. Amazon also doesn't want Fakespot to do whatever it is they want. The problem is fairness and the process.

Fakespot founder Saoud Khalifa has claimed that Apple initially denied the claim , claiming the issue was largely concerned with intellectual property rights. This was initiated by Amazon on June 8. Apple quickly denied the claim by first stating, in a formal statement that the dispute is about intellectual property rights. The dispute was brought by Amazon the 8th of June.But Apple also published an official statement on the dispute on the 8th of June. Apple immediately addressed this issue by connecting both Apple and Fakespot. Apple has also provided the steps required to address the Fakespot problem with Amazon developers. Apple continued reaching out to Fakespot, two weeks before it finally got removed. Fakespot was removed from the App Store two weeks before the official announcement. Khalifa later retracts the official statement and claimed that Apple had been informing Fakespot that Fakespot was to be taken down.

Fakespot asserts that it is violating Amazon's intellectual property rights. Fakespot also really did an outright violation of Apple's rules. Honestly, from apple stock price of view, Apple's decision is pretty fair and square. We cannot say for sure if Amazon's influence affected the decision because the facts are all there.

The reactions of users are the opposite of what users are thinking. users who are supportive while others are opposed. There are apple watch to the story. Oneis that there are those who believe Amazon is hypocritical in refusing access to third party services due to the fact that they could be hacked. On the other hand, a lot of people are pointing out that Fakespot is not exactly accurate, and at times, is quite aggressive in assessing reviews regardless if they are actually fake or real.
