Apple's App Store removes Fakespot


Fakespot, according to its website, is an app designed to detect fake reviews of eCommerce websites. Fakespot has identified Amazon as the biggest eCommerce site in the world. The success of Fakespot was not just due to Amazon trying to have Fakespot removed from the Apple App Store. Amazon ultimately prevailed.With so many corporations against you, what chances do they stand of winning?Amazon was able remove Fakespot from Fakespot's App Store.

apple watch series 6 was removed because Amazon said it was displaying the website through its application without permission - an explicit violation of the App Store's terms and conditions. Fakespot was not allowed to display the Amazon website using an extension of the app. Amazon also doesn't want Fakespot to do whatever it is they want. The question is fairness, how the process was conducted and what result it produced.

Fakespot founder Saoud Khalifa claimed that Apple initially rejected the claim, stating that the dispute involved intellectual property rights. The matter was started by Amazon on June 8. However, Apple immediately disputed this claim by first saying, through an official statement, that the dispute is largely about intellectual property rights which was initiated by Amazon on June 8. Additionally, Apple also mediated the communication between Fakespot and Amazon. Apple has also provided the steps needed to address the Fakespot issue with Amazon's developers. Apple made contact with Fakespot on the 29th of June and reached out to Fakespot on June 29 to inform Fakespot be aware of its violations. Fakespot was taken down within two weeks. Because of this official statement, Khalifa retracted by saying that Apple did give a warning to Fakespot that it will be highly likely that Fakespot will be removed.

Fakespot claims to be violating Amazon's intellectual property rights. Fakespot even though it is an infraction of Apple's guidelines, in fact violate 5.2.2. Honestly, from an unbiased point of view, Apple's decision is pretty fair and square. It is possible that some people believe that Fakespot's removal is a clear demonstration of the power of the company or that Amazon is trying to stop people from trying to control the site. But the facts show that there are people who are monitoring the case closely.

The reactions of users are mixed. users who are supportive and others who oppose. apple watch series 6 of people believe it's is absurd that Amazon would ban third-party access because of the possibility of collecting personal data. Fakespot, on the other hand, isn't always accurate and can be quite aggressive when assessing reviews.
