SariAgri - Perum Bulog Divre V Banyuwangi sibuk menyuplai kebutuhan beras di Kabupaten Banyuwangi, Jawa Timur. Selain wilayah di ujung timur Pulau Jawa itu, Perum Bulog Sub Divre V juga sibuk memenuhi kebutuhan beras untuk wilayah Indonesia Timur.
Pernyataan tersebut ditegaskan Kepala Bulog Banyuwangi, Jusri Pakke, usai meninjau stok beras di gudang Bulog. Saat ini stok beras mencapai 108.000 hingga 120.000 ton yang siap di suplai ke wilayah Indonesia Timur.
“Kita tidak hanya melayani kebutuhan masyarakat Banyuwangi saja, namun juga mensuplai untuk kawasan Indonesia Timur seperti Papua, Ambon, Bali, NTT, NTB hingga Ternate Maluku Utara. Sebab kami ada lima gudang dengan stok beras masing-masing antara 108.000 ton sampai 120 ribu ton,” kata Jusri Pakke kepada SariAgri, Selasa (4/5).
Kemampuan mensuplai Indonesia Timur dikarenakan produksi beras Banyuwangi surplus. Jika ditotal keseluruhan stok beras di lima gudang mencapai kisaran 576.000 ton. Berita Pertanian Indonesia Sedangkan kebutuhan beras untuk penduduk Banyuwangi saat ini hanya sekitar 1,5 juta jiwa, dengan konsumsinya per kapita per tahun per orang hanya 95 kilogram.
Berita Pertanian Indonesia “Jika gabah dikonversi ke beras dengan rendemen 55 persen sampai dengan 60 persen maka kebutuhan beras untuk penduduk banyuwangi saja hanya 150.000 ton saja. Berita Pertanian Terbaru Dengan demikian Banyuwangi surplus beras sekitar 350.000 ton beras. Maka kelebihan beras ini bisa untuk menopang daerah lain yang membutuhkan,” ucap dia.
Hingga kini Bulog Sub Divre V Banyuwangi masih terus melakukan serapan gabah ke tingkat petani. Berdasarkan data dari Bulog banyuwangi hingga kini telah terserap sebanyak 700 ton gabah per hari dari petani.
