SariAgri - Kesadaran petani menggunakan pupuk organik di Sumatera Utara (Sumut) semakin tinggi meski tetap terus dilakukan sosialisasi terkait penggunaannya. Hingga 25 Mei 2021 realisasi penyaluran pupuk organik bersubsidi di Sumut sudah 33,36 persen atau 6.645 ton dari alokasi 19.918 ton.

Menurut Jhoni, pupuk organik bermanfaat bagi peningkatan produksi pertanian baik kualitas maupun kuantitas. Selain mengurangi pencemaran lingkungan, pupuk organik juga meningkatkan kualitas lahan secara berkelanjutan. Berita Pertanian Terbaru Kalau dilakukan dalam jangka panjang pupuk organik dapat meningkatkan produktivitas lahan dan mencegah degradasi lahan.

Dinas Tanaman Pangan dan Hortikultura Sumut, berharap alokasi pupuk organik bersubsidi tahun ini bisa terealisasi 100 persen. Target penyaluran pupuk organik bersubsidi untuk memperbaiki kualitas tanah dan hasil panen petani.
Jhoni menegaskan pihaknya menjamin dan memastikan ketersediaan pupuk bersubsidi di wilayahnya aman. Dia berharap, alokasi semua jenis pupuk bersubsidi di Sumut tahun 2021 juga bisa 100 persen.
Dia menambahkan penyerapan pupuk bersubsidi untuk semua jenis di Sumut rata -rata sekitar 30 persen.
"Pupuk bersubsidi tersedia sesuai permintaan dan alokasi," pungkasnya.
