CHAPTER TWO


I saw Tanjiro walking back, he barely could walk, and used a stick as support, before I did anything I saw a girl walk outside, she had long dark hair with a tint of a dark orange color at the end.

"Nezuko!"

Nezuko? So that was it, it was her, the only survivor...

...

A little while passed, I opened the door to reveal both Tanjiro and Urokodaki, "It's you-"

"Don't worry Tanjiro, Akuma-san isn't a threat to any of us," my eyes widened at the mention of my name, "Did you jus say... A-Akuma?"

I sat down next to Urokodaki, "Maou Akuma, that's my name."

"W-wait- But that's impossible- you all-"

"Don't forget my body wasn't seen at all there... just my parents... little brother, and little sister..."

"Just like your sister, Akuma-san was turned into a demon, I've been trying to find a cure, but I'm afraid I've never gotten too far."

"Nezuko isn't like the others... not even like me, Tanjiro, I might have known your family, I'm still a demon though... I eat the remains of humans who are victims... and that's how I stay alive... but Nezuko doesn't ever eat humans... I can't understand how or why, even as a demon myself..."

"So, as a demon, what can you tell me? Do you know what happened to my sister?"

"I wish I could say, but answers to such complicated questions have a price, I'm afraid I'd only get through half the answer before something truly horrible happens..."

I sighed, "Demons often forget about their families, or maybe just, stop caring, I stopped caring, but never forgot about them, I still know everything about them, I never forgot anything in my human life..."

"I don't know how or why humans can turn into demons, Akuma-san really cannot answer, for it would kill her to even try," yeah, great going Urokodaki..

"It's not her Blood Demon Art, that's for sure, but she sees humans as family, and demons as enemies, she also gains energy through sleep, not murder..."

"Blood Demon Art?"

"It's like, a special ability, like some kind of super power," he thought for a second, "What's yours?"

I dug my nails into my skin making a scratch, the blood poured out, "Why would you do that-"

I moved my hands, and the blood dripping down my arm moved along with me, I made it float up to our eye level, "Watch," I made different shapes, then I froze it, and then evaporated it.

Urokodaki seemed unamused, he's already seen this dozens of times, how do I know behind that mask? Well he's not even looking in our direction.

"Don't look so sad old man," I got up and stretched, "Welp, I'll get going, it's getting late,"

"You're staying outside? Why not just here?" I sighed, and considered it for a second, "Alright, one, where would I sleep? Two, I've eaten dead humans, Nezuko might try to attack me, and three, no."

"One, sleep where you always do, two, Nezuko won't attack out, three, yes."

"Fine."
