Managing People: 5 Tactics For Improving Yourself And Your Employees
The best gift a manager can give her/his employees is inspiring and teaching employees how to become more resilient to enable them to implement their abilities and willingness to look at any situation and earn it into something better plus more life-enhancing.
"The simple truth is, anything that has happened in my life... that I thought was a crushing event at that time, has turned out for your better." -- Warren Buffett (1930 - ) -- American businessman and philanthropist.
resilience: speedy recovery from problems: a chance to recover quickly from setbackselasticity: the ability of matter to spring back quickly fit after being bent, stretched, or deformed. (Encarta) From time-to-time many of us fail because of:
(a) our personal doing (refusing to manage or being blind to the reality);
(b) another woman's actions (stabbing me inside the back);
(c) a, uncontrollable events (like the current financial meltdown); or
(d) a combination of the suggestions above.
That's life. As the saying goes, "Bad the unexpected happens to great people."
We usually takes some perverse peace of mind in that it is also true that bad the unexpected happens to bad and stupid people.
5 tactics to enhance yourself plus your employees...
1. Accept what's. It is the place to begin working one's solution with the present situation. I have to know were I am to get to where I want to go.
2. Focus on where I want to be. go right here that I am after a better future. Trying is alright. attempting is slacking off. Acting with force and dedication to making my future happen works.
3. Failures include the classroom for learning. We all live within the room for improvement. Stop whining in regards to the crappy, painful situation. Give the self-centered idea that I am stupid, bad or... because this is happening in my experience. Bad, painful experiences are the entrance fees to wisdom.
4. Carry on. With a little aid from your mates. We are not alone. We have people in our lives that are waiting inside wings to offer us some help. Open the eyes, heart and mind for them.
5. Review, revise, reinforce. Get feedback and "feedforward."
As Marshall goldsmith says, "What got me here will not likely get me there."
There it can be. Go forth and improve -- should you to look at the assignment.
