‘한국 김치’라는 인증 제도가 생기면 외국뿐만 아니라 국내에서도 원산지에 대한 신뢰를 높이는 효과가 있을 전망이다. 최근 국립농산물품질관리원(농관원)은 올 상반기 원산지를 거짓으로 표시하거나 표시하지 않은 업체 1771곳을 적발했다고 밝혔다. 이 가운데 가장 많은 적발 사례가 배추김치(420건)였다.

또한 ‘마이산김치 마스터클래스’ 프로그램은 안명자 김치명인과 임종금 마이산김치공장장이 함께해 맛있는 김치 담그는 방법과 마이산김치의 맛의 비결을 공개하는 영상으로, 일교차가 큰 진안고원에서 자라난 고품질 배추와 고추, 감칠맛을 내기 위한 표고버섯과 새우젓 등 100% 우리 농산물로 정성 들여 만들어낸 양념으로 담그는 명품 마이산김치를 소개하며, 맛있는 김치를 담그는 비법까지 담아냈다.

17일 부귀농협에 따르면, 이번 축제 매출은 온라인 주문 판매 650건 3800여만원, 드라이브 스루 판매 200건 1900만원으로
총 5700만원가량이다.

CA 물김치는 10℃에 두면서 30일간 품질을 평가하였고, 7일간 발효한 것으로 동물실험을 행했다. 10일이 지나자 CA를 첨가하지 않은 경우는 무 조직이 물러졌으며, 국물도 뿌옇게 탁해졌고 신맛이 강했다. 하지만 CA 물김치는 국물이 맑고 사각사각한 맛을 띠며, 10℃에서의 보존 기간이 15일이나 연장되었으며 떫은맛은 없었다. 그뿐만 아니라 국물에 녹아 있는 글루코사민 (glucosamine)의 함량은 3배나 높았다. 또, 체내에서 과산화 이온의 독성을 경감하는 SOD (superoxide dismutase)의 활성은 200배나 증가했다. 글루코사민은 아미노당 (amino sugar)의 일종으로 연골, 피부, 머리카락, 손톱 등을 구성하는 성분이다.

농협하나로유통은 21일까지 전국 하나로마트 매장과 온라인 쇼핑몰 ‘농협몰’에서 절임배추와 김치류 할인판매에 나선다(사진).
