he came on here after a member posted a story about being asked not record his set at a festival. apparently he walked up while a taper was setting up his rig and said something along the lines of "hey, did you see bassnectar's set? it was pretty sick huh? did you get tape it?" and the guy kind of brushed him off, so he said "well look, i am bassnectar, and i am asking that you not tape my sets, and if you did, please don't release it, blah, blah, blah" and the taper told him basically that he didn't record the set, that he was setting up for the biscuits, and even if he were all set up, he wouldn't waste tape on bassnectar's set. anyway, after about 200 posts a person with the handle "bassnectar" showed up on PT and hashed it out with a vocal group of dissenters about the merits or demerits of his music and his person. it was one of the most amazing things to ever happen on PT. the golden age of PT (at least my golden age of PT). '07, '08. when melt downs involved shotguns and were literally life or death. when moondick meant something. before it turned to s***.
