I've seen lots of great conflict resolution models and theories in the past. Many of them have a little bit of cognitive capability to remember in the heat of conflict. When conflict shows up inside a group, the bigger mental faculties (of those in conflict and my very own) aren't often operating at their peak. During times honestly, when we utilize a model in any respect, it requires to be quite simple and memorable.
Go time for the very last time you had been in the midst of a conflict. What made it happen feel as if within your body? For me, my head gets hot and thoughts are coming fast. It almost is like I need an aspirin.

A: Ally. Befriend the conflicted. Let them know you are there on their behalf, shopping for their demands and interests.
S: Specifics. Ask for the actual, observable, facts that concern them.
P: Protection. Balance protecting the group with protecting the conflicted. Maintain a place which is safe for anyone. You may have to certainly be a traffic cop here, enforcing basic operating agreements, and placing a pause and disrespectful behavior. A break could even have to let everyone cool-down for a few minutes.
I: Interests. Inquire in to the conflicting parties concerns. Find out how what they want and why they want it.
