Furthermore, once you recharged them several times they built up what is called a memory effect and they did not usually maintain a charge.

This resulted in dead cell phone batteries, which required spending increasing amounts of money buying more.

These are super light and also have no memory impact issues to cause charging complications. On the other hand, these batteries aren't typically used up to now, plus they are still reasonably uncommon.

All in all, the engineering for the mobile phone and its battery have come a long method in a relatively short period of time.
