Reading the Books in the Hunger Games Franchise
The Hunger Games is a film about a couple of teenage girls named Katniss and Peeta. They have won the post of district master and Peeta and Katniss, who are both boys, but were allowed by their families to participate in the Hunger Games. The majority of contestants accept tributes because of the popularity of District 12's poverty, thereby increasing the chance of being selected for the Hunger Games. Another tribute is the arena fighter, a masculine tribute that displays tremendous bravery and courage to support the female Coin. Then there are the tributes that are two years old, who represent the richer districts of the city. These two are combined with the orphans from the poorer areas to create the districts of Katnissss and Peytre. The theme of the games is akin to the films and books: a struggle between good versus evil.

Similar to the book the series also includes the books in a series that are set in the districts of Katniss' house, where the readers travel from district to district, and learn more about the people and the complexities of the revolution. As you progress, you will gain more perspectives and gain more knowledge about how the rebellion started. The books also include events that took place prior to Coin the last tribute, is released. After Katniss is assigned to her mother, she and her create an uneasy relationship.

The first novel in the series introduces readers to the world of Panem. This is where the story begins to reveal the details of how the revolution began, how Coin's reluctant and courageous relationship with Katniss develops, how she changes, and how the opposing side's conflict. The themes explored are love and friendship which aid in the development of characters. The novel is set in Katniss, and Peytre. There are four districts, and they are all based on friendship and love.

The sequel, The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, covers the events that happen immediately before the final chapter of the article.
