Through past internships and opportunities, I have strong operational skills necessary to implement large-scale events.
Leading my Eagle Scout project – which involved rebuilding a structure for a Native American museum – taught me the intricacies of managing projects and events. Efficiency in budgeting, scheduling, and delegating tasks is critical in facilitating events such as Anahat, and it's something I excel at as a result of projects such as this.


Along with this, I led an internship with the non-profit Ekal – involving village development in rural India – that gave me experience with similar skills. Because this internship took place in India at the time of the COVID-19 pandemic, a large aspect of the planning involved communicating with Ekal leaders in India to figure out logistics. This opportunity prepared me with organizational capabilities that are vital for many of the tasks Indus carries out.


And with Bollywood dance experience in high school, I understand what it's like to be on the performer side of these events as well, a perspective I think would be very valuable to organize Anahat and BB. Skills gained from past experiences combined with an eagerness to learn and be involved in Berkeley make me confident I would be able to succeed as an Indus intern.
