Graffiti is drawings, nicknames or messages on any subject, made usually in places to be seen by the public is a way of solely getting your name, opinion, idea or denounce around for everyone see. The graffiti world has been growing along the years and the opinions have change. Graffiti is consider as contemporary art but not everyone agree with that for some people graffiti still considered visually aggressive, degradation and vandalism. Art to some people would be the great works of Michelangelo, Da Vinci, Bottachelli, Matisse, Van Gough, and Monet and for others would be Gemeos and Cranio famous graffiti artist. Then, suppose that one of these famous artists decided to paint a masterpiece on the side of your house or on your front door or on a wall in your neighbourhood. Would Picasso or Monet's markings be graffiti or art or vandalism?
Colourful graffiti paintings on the walls of our major cities have made it impossible to ignore this form of "public art." Many artists try to promote a message in their work show to the society what is wrong as: corruption, murder, theft, harassment, abuse of power, poor investments in health and education and others. The society is getting used to something they should not. Most people do nothing to chance the situation they know it is happen and is wrong but they do not care ones because do not affect them and other because think just their action do not make difference.
There are various forms of graffiti most simple form is that of the tag which is writing of one's name or nick-name in hand style. It is basically a means to indicate the writer's presence "I was here." Originated in New York City, and it was known first as "New York Style" graffiti. This art form began in the late 1960's when teens used permanent markers to tag or write their names, followed by the number of the street on which they lived.
Graffiti shouldn’t be illegal. It’s just creative writing with colors. If they want their property to stop getting destroyed then they should make art in their building. What graffiti artist are trying to do is colourful the city. People should want places to be more colourful. Graffiti is gang affiliated is what some people say but its’ really not. Graffiti is what you view of it and what you understand. Yea graffiti started out with gangs but then smarter people decided to take it to a new level of art. Graffiti isn’t bad the only reason why people view it as bad is because the system say is wrong.
