Grapeseed Oil Granular Activated Carbon has the highest absorbivity of any material currently in use for sink filters in commercial and residential applications. It is made from the pulp and juice of the green grape. The material is often mixed with other organic materials to improve its effectiveness at removing chlorine, volatile organic chemicals (VOCs), and any number of hazardous contaminants. It can also be used as a pH stabilizer, making it an excellent choice for counter-top applications.
The granular activated carbon material filters water in two different ways. First, it adsorbs impurities such as ash, cleaning products, and oils.
