How To Podcast Using WordPress
The next step is podcasting. It's the step up from blogging. While blogging is carried out by an army of pajama-clad people, podcasting is performed by many of these same individuals, but less often in pajamas using a digital and audio recorder. For most users, WordPress 1.5 and above will podcast conveniently and instantly. If you embed the audio file within your WordPress article using the full URL address, it automatically incorporates it into the feed of RSS/Atom, making it a podcast. Make sure you use a full address:

Your final step is to include the URL to your RSS/Atom feed on your page. By default, feeds will be on the bottom the WordPress page. The link should look something like this when you're using the RSS feed:

In the earlier versions of WordPress the automated links functioned for posts only, not in static websites. Since WordPress requires exact information on file size, if you change the file linked to, you must be certain to republish the post with the link. When you've connected to an image which in any way is not fully accessible from your blog or podcast, your podcast will not function properly when it's finished because WordPress won't have the correct information about the size of the file.
