Warehouse Distributor - Learn How You Can Become One Easily!
As with any job there is always a negative side to being a Warehouse Distributor. Leaf Blowers But one of the worst things I saw after becoming a Warehouse Distributor was the Warehouse Direct Sales Association (WDSA). The reason I say this is because it put a terrible image of Warehouse Manufacturers on the industry map. Most distributors would see a WDSA membership card and say "that's me, I make all my money on Warehouse Direct Sales from the companies I represent." While that is true some distributors do make all their money on Warehouse Direct Sales from the major Warehouse Manufacturers such as Costco, Target, Wal-Mart and Sam's Club. That does not mean they are not a great distributor or that they are not good distributors.


The Warehouse Distributors Association put out a newsletter with pictures of warehouse distributors holding up a sign that says "Warehouse Distributor, United States". It made a bad statement about Warehouse Distributors in the US. Some distributors make their whole living on Warehouse Direct Sales. In other words they are very educated and very skillful and know how to sell their companies, products and services to the right customer in the warehouse distributor industry.

Now I am not saying these warehouse distributor folks are not hard working, they are. On the other hand, I would submit to you that you do not have to be an expert on anything to become a WDS or a Warehouse Distributor, and you certainly do not have to have an MBA or even have been in business for very long to be a warehouse distributor. I know several Warehouse Owners that has zero experience in the warehousing industry, but they know their stuff. And they are extremely successful because they are very knowledgeable customer oriented people and understand what their customers want and need.

What I am saying is if you are a warehousing distributor, you can be a very good WDS or even a good wholesale distributor. You must become a knowledgeable customer based customer service person and take care of your customers. You must become a knowledgeable product or service person. And you must make sure that you have a very good and outstanding product portfolio. If you don't have an excellent product portfolio you will not last long in the industry because competition is fierce and you will not be able to compete with the others.

The way that you become a Warehouse Distributor is you buy a factory over at a warehouse distributor facility, and you then lease it out to the manufacturer. The manufacturer will supply the products to you, and you will distribute them to the retailers. When a customer purchases one of your products, they will ship it to the company's manufacturing facility. Then the manufacturing company sends the item out to the retail company who is the end user of the product.

So what does this all mean to you? Well, you buy a factory and you lease it out to the manufacturer. Then you distribute it to the manufacturers. And you make money when the manufacturer sells their products back to the retail companies. This is how you become a Warehouse Distributor; buy a factory, lease it out to a manufacturer, and then sell the products you distribute to retailers.
