很多老人都常常用一條大被子，把新生兒的頭部以下嚴嚴實實的包裹起來，這就是所謂的“蠟燭包”，據說這種方法是能夠防止寶寶羅圈腿，還能讓寶寶不亂動更安靜。
其實這種行為是完全錯誤的，先不說寶寶羅圈腿是由於缺乏維生素和鈣質導致的，就連讓寶寶更安靜的做法都是不對的。
除此之外，包“蠟燭包”還有以下4點的危害，望傢長們周知。
影響寶寶生長和四肢活動
寶寶在媽媽肚子裡的時候就是四肢蜷縮的姿勢，在出生之後也還是需要繼續保持這樣的姿勢一段時間，身體才會慢慢舒展，這是完全符合寶寶的生長規律。
如果強行通過捆綁的方法強制他改變姿勢，不僅讓寶寶非常難受還會妨礙他的生長發育。另外，寶寶的四肢被緊緊包裹，無法動彈，對他的骨骼生長也會產生不利影響，導致身體畸形。
影響寶寶肺部功能
給新生兒包“蠟燭包”還會影響他的肺部功能，因為強制掰直寶寶的四肢讓他無法動彈，不適感會使寶寶不停的哭泣，但是蠟燭包把寶寶的肺部緊緊包裹，導致他在哭泣的時候肺部擴張受到限制，使寶寶哭得“上氣不接下氣”，甚至引發窒息風險。
導致髖關節脫位，影響行走
寶寶剛出生骨骼非常脆弱，為瞭包成“蠟燭包”，而將他的手腳、四肢強行掰直，很容易在掰直的過程中導致關節骨折留下後遺癥，甚至會影響將來寶寶行走。
新生兒四肢彎曲是他神經系統還沒發育成熟時的正常表現，不需要人為糾正，寶寶的會隨著年齡的長大，逐漸自然伸直，傢長們不必強行糾正。
容易引發尿佈疹
“蠟燭包”還會使寶寶容易患上肌膚問題，因為包裹孩子的棉被不經常打開透氣，裡面濕熱的空氣無法流通，寶寶的肌膚一直處在這樣的環境中，很容易就會患上一些肌膚疾病。
比如在夏季可能會捂出痱子，導致寶寶肌膚發生糜爛。
過去的一些育兒方法不一定是正確的，傢長們需要辨別其中的危害，不要聽信一些民間偏方，那些都是毫無科學依據的，傢長要以科學、合理的方式對待寶寶。
