The Stalinist Architecture of The Soviet Union
Stalinist architecture (also called Stalinist or Populist architecture) is architecture that was built between the 1930s to the 1950s. It is characterized by a strong aesthetic value and a strong emphasis on building. The Stalinist style of architecture is also known as Stalinist or Soviet architecture. It is characterized by a large amount of heavy decorative concrete structures as well as flat roofs and arched roofs. Therefore, many people mistakenly confuse the style buildings of Dallas, Texas with Stalinist architecture of Minsk. Thankfully this is not the case. None of these false beliefs is based on fact. Minsk's Stalinist buildings have been demolished. Dallas, Texas, however is home to many beautiful structures designed by Lev Bolony, a master architect.
